It's finally February, and I'm thankful for that. January was a tough month for weather. Although Mr. Groundhog saw his shadow, I'm hoping that the rest of this winter will be a little easier on us!
In this newsletter, we'll cover all of our upcoming make up days and dress rehearsals. Please also remember our studio weather policy: When Ed-Co dismisses early or cancels school DUE TO WEATHER, all classes at the studio are canceled as well.
Let's get excited for what the next few months hold for the studio!
Make-Up & Extra Dance Days
The Tuesday classes got hit hard on missed days in January, and those students should have received a separate e-mail regarding make-up class times (with the exception of the preschoolers...those times have not been set yet).
For the rest of my students, please note that on the Studio Calendar, we have a scheduled make-up day THIS FRIDAY, February 7th. It is a no school day for Ed-Co. The schedule is as follows :: 9:00-10:30am -- All K-12 Ballet & Jazz Students 10:30-11:00am -- All Hip Hop Students 11:00-Noon -- MS/HS Ballet.Jazz.Contemporary
Please also mark your calendar for a studio rehearsal Saturday morning, April 12, and dress rehearsal in Manchester on Saturday morning, May 10.
Between all of these extra rehearsals, we should be covered for make-ups if we meet with any more inclement weather!
Costumes are arriving! We arrived one shipment last week, and I'm expecting two more this week. Students will try these on before they leave the studio to ensure proper fit. We have a few leotards for the K-2nd grade class that are backordered, and are currently scheduled to arrive in about 6 weeks.
Hip Hop Dancers are reminded to bring a clean pair of sneakers for hip hop! They can be any style; just make sure they are not worn outside!
Thursday/Friday, May 22 & 23 Reminder: The recital dates have been set since the dance year started. Please have your Calendars Marked! I know this seems so far away, but it will sneak up on us!
This just needs to be said: I love what I do. I have such an appreciation for the students and families I get to work with. So thank you for being a part of the Fusion DanceWorks family.
